Questions people ask
How much will an Eve air taxi ride cost?
No fare has been announced. Eve sells aircraft to operators, which will set ticket prices once service begins.
When can you ride the Eve eVTOL?
Not before 2028. Eve now expects type certification and entry into service in 2028, after a crewed conforming prototype flies in the second half of 2027 and completes about a year of testing.
Do you need a pilot's license to ride the Eve eVTOL?
No. Passengers ride with an operator, and a commercial pilot flies the aircraft.
Has the Eve eVTOL actually flown?
Yes, without people on board. Eve's full-scale prototype first hovered in December 2025, logged 66 flights by early August 2026, and began partial transition flights at around 30 knots. Full wing-borne flight is targeted for the end of 2026.
